Exam Feedback:

At the end of year 10 we sat both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the new specification English Language exam. Here you can go through the detailed feedback and analysis of our results. Take some time to read through and consider your performance and what you need to focus on to improve:

Please find below a powerpoint presentation which explains both papers. You can also download practice year 9 papers here and use them for revision. If you would like to show me any practice answers, I’d be happy to take a look at them for you – email them to:

    Nice one gibbs

  2. Many thanks from year 11 says:

Mrs Gibbs the one and only, you can never replaced. Mrs I passed my English gcse with greater grades than I expected, so I have u to thank for it. So THANK YOU MRs for the hard work you put in our class, although our class wasn’t the brightest, you pushed us through the whole way and even though we had mischief from elson I was able to gain a lot of knowledge. But the only that still haunts me till today is just passing your clayssroom and seeing everything changed and all the work we had on the wallls have been taken down. What scares me even more is when I look inside I don’t your warm and welcoming face. I am sure you must have had problems but I was baffled when I first heard that you left. But I hope one day you will be back soon mrs. I hope you help more people like me mrs and I hope your new class knows just how lucky they are. Goodbye Mrs many thanks from 11Y2 the best class ever, Bye Mrs xoxoxoxo

Thank you for your lovely message. Just to reassure you, I’m absolutely fine. It was just time to move on. I had the most amazing seven years at HS and it will always hold a very special place in my heart. I have had the privilege of teaching many wonderful young people and I know you’ll go on to do amazing things in the future. I’m so sorry I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye and thank you, but please know that I will always remember you all. God bless.
